New Years Resolutions

Well, it’s that time again, new years isn’t too far off, so how did you stack up against your resolutions you set early this year? Here’s a quick rundown of the ones I set myself and how I progressed with them…

  1. Meet new people Well, I did just this.. Met a whole pile of new people, through friends and just complete strangers. Really happy with myself on this one.
  2. Catch up with people I haven’t seen in a while This one maybe not so much, not to say that I hadn’t caught up with people, but I would’ve like to have caught up with more. Room for improvement next year /methinks
  3. Find a partner Sometimes we just like to leave things to the last minute.. last minute Christmas shopping, paying bills… well, as of yesterday, I can give this one a big tick. Yay!
  4. Learn/do something new I learnt heaps, not just programming either! Photography has improved, IT knowledge, just general stuffs too. Plus I took several hundred thousand photos of an iconic Perth building being pulled down.
  5. Double the bank balance Okay, so this is where I shot to flames. I halved it.
  6. Buy a Blue, manual XR8 This is why the above one is like it is…
  7. Go on a holiday by myself It was planned the year before, so I knew it was going to happen, but either way, Great success. Went to Queensland by myself in March (stayed with friends over there)
  8. Look at moving out of home Well, I looked.
  9. Be more fit/do exercise EVERYONE sets themselves this one, fortunately, I managed to smash through it. I joined a Gymnastics class with @iiadamogrady. Plus I also got into a habit of riding my bike every weekend or two (until winter).
As far as I remember that’s all I set for myself. Personally I think I’ve done pretty well. Now to think of some others to add to the list for next year. Obviously, the ones I failed on, I’ll be adding to next years list. Any suggestions?
